An unused swimming pool—rendered inoperative due to construction flaws—and a damaged retaining wall affected by water seepage defined the initial brief. The intervention restores both elements and reorganizes the garden with a wooden walkway, sunbathing areas, and vegetation selected from native species as well as others with symbolic value to the owners. The ensemble, composed of concrete, wood, and glass, responds to the warm climate of Santa Cruz and brings new life to a once-abandoned outdoor space.
